There are a few ways you can renew your items. You can renew in person at the Circulation Desk with your ID. You can call the Circulation Desk at 412.392.6130. You can also renew your library materials online.
To renew online, you can click on Renew Materials in the upper left hand corner of the library website and follow the instructions to enter your Multipass Credentials.
Another way to renew materials is to log in to QuickSearch using your Multipass Credentials.
After logging in, click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the page. Once in your account settings page, go to the Checkouts link. From there you can either mark the items you wish to renew or click renew all. The due date will be listed under in the "Status" column.
Please note that there are restrictions for the amount of renews, and some EZ Borrow, ILLiad, and other items. See below for an explanation of renewal limits. If you have reached the maximum amount of renewals or the items are not renewable, you will receive an error message. Contact the Circulation Desk with any questions.
One thing to be aware of, if you have borrowed books through ILLiad and want to renew them, you cannot renew your ILLiad books as you would books from Gumberg Library. To renew ILLiad books, you must either call the Interlibrary Loan Department (ILL) at 412.396.5341. You may also ask the ILL staff via email to renew your ILLiad books. Here is the email firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can renew your ILLiad books by visiting the ILL Department in room 517A on the 5th Floor of Gumberg Library.
